The case is knitted in stocking stitch. Shaun's fleece is created with a change of yarn, not a change of stitch. When you change yarn, twist the yarns together, to prevent any holes forming.

● Yarn B Luxurious Woolly Merino, Whiter (175), 1 x 50g/90m ball
● Yarn C Extra Fine Merino Wool DK, Jet Black (13), 1 x 50g/116m ball
● A pair of 3¾mm needles
● Five small buttons
● Two sequins
● Two clear seed beads
Yarn used knits as DK to this tension: 22 sts and 32 rows to measure 4x4in (10x10cm) over stocking stitch using 3¾mm needle.
Case
Cast on 36 sts using 3¾mm needles and yarn A.
Row 1 Knit.
Row 2 Knit.
Row 3 Purl.
Row 4 K5, yf, k2tog, K10, yf, k2tog, K10, yf, k2tog,
K5.
Row 5 Purl.
Row 6 Knit.
Row 7 Knit.
Starting with a knit row continue in stocking stitch for 28 rows, ending on a wrong side.
Continue in stocking stitch working from row 1 of the chart. Work all 26 rows. Continue in yarn A to the end of the pattern.

Making up
Sew up the sides of the case. Add the three buttons to the top band and attach the buttons to the face, adding the sequin and the seed bead to the top of the button to make Shaun's eyes.
